A photographer friend who is helping me learn my new camera said "You work in a theater! It's a gold mine!" So, after my shift, I went prowling for inspiration and found some interesting shots, I think. When you work in a place for many years you become blind to some of the lovely things about it. I rediscovered my affection for the place, through the lens. Lights and shadow, stage hands at work, the hidden corners, the art room where so much of the restoration happens, stairways up and down, even the funky infirmary. Welcome to my world :) NOTE: Click on the pictures for a larger image.

best of intentions
I have been energized to re-start this blog with the unexpected late Christmas/early birthday gift of of a beautiful Canon Rebel and I have my sort of step son (and crazy talented photographer) living with us for just 3 more days to hep me learn it. So, a few shots of our lives at Holiday time to start. I promise to really work on it this time. I will!
And so...a morning in late December when all was still.
